Hundreds of "Red Cards" Against Swiss's Wage Policy!

Dear Colleagues

Within just a few days, many of you working at Swiss have reacted to the Swiss management's unilateral termination of wage negotiations with the ground staff unions: More than 400 employees make a clear statement with their signatures: Not like this! – Red card for Swiss and immediate resumption of wage negotiations with the trade unions!

Today, the SEV-GATA delegation handed over the signatures to Swiss HR Director Christina Trelle. Photos can be found here: https://sev-online.ch/en/media/medienmitteilung/2023/swiss-bodenpersonal-hunderte-rote-karten-gegen-die-lohnpolitik-der-swiss/ The publication of the photo with the Swiss delegation has been refused by Swiss for the time being.

The message is clear: This termination of negotiations is an affront to the staff. Record profits without any compensation for inflation? All of this despite your unfailing loyalty to the company during the pandemic and during the ramp up, despite all of your overtime due to the staff shortage caused by the unnecessary mass dismissal in May 2021? You are right to feel offended!

We expect HR management to express its willingness to come back to the negotiating table on the occasion of the forthcoming debate between the social partners next Thursday, 30 November. The mutual goal must be to negotiate a wage round that meets the challenges, benefits and living costs of employees.

A clear sign of appreciation such as this is the only way for Swiss to sustain its renewed success streak.
